Waterproof LED Strips for any kind of application.
What is the difference of the IP protection between our Strips families?

Flexible linear lighting does also work in wet environments! For example, LED Strips can be used to elegantly illuminate facades, terraces or bathrooms without any problems.
The silicone protection of Radium LED Strips ensures that neither dirt nor water penetrate into the LED module. Depending on the product segment "Star" or "Essence", the so-called IP protection class of our strips differs slightly. We explain the difference below:
LED Essence Strips have a high-grade IP protection of 66. They are encased in silicone tubes that are potted at the ends to protect the electrical components.

LED Star Strips are fully encapsulated in silicone to achieve an IP protection rating of 67.

This means that the strips are equally protected against foreign bodies penetrating – this is what the first digit says – but the protection against liquid penetration is one level higher for our Star Strips (second digit). For example, the LED Strip with IP67 protection can even be submerged one meter under water for up to 30 minutes, while the Strip with IP66 protection can ’only’ be used for applications with strong jets of water.
An IP67 strip could therefore be embedded in the ground outside without a roof, for example, even if water collects there for a short time. Strips with IP66 protection can be used on building facades, for example.
For guaranteed safety during assembly, you are welcome to have us professionally cut your LED Strips to your desired length and equip them with a cable. We ensure that your luminaire including power supply is completely waterproof and functional.
