Big Reels for Rock'n'Roll on the Construction Site.

Maximum Operable Length.

An LED strip can be operated over a certain length without a voltage drop and thus without a decrease in luminous flux. This length is called the maximum operable length. The specified maximum operable length of the LED strip requires an input voltage of 24 V at the LED strip. If the voltage actually applied is lower because the supply cable is too long, the maximum operable length is correspondingly shorter.

Shortest Ejectable Unit.

The shortest ejectable unit (SEU) is the smallest distance an LED strip can be divided without damaging the unit and causing it to fail. The Radium LED Strip with the smallest ejectable unit is the LED Star Strip UltraPitch with an SEU of only 10 millimetres with 7 LEDs per unit.

Pitch.

The distance from the centre of one LED chip to the centre of the next LED chip is called pitch and is usually given in millimetres. The smaller the pitch, the more homogeneous the light appears.

Professional ESD protection.

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage LED strips to such an extent that the LEDs fail completely. In the case of less serious ESD damage, the LEDs remain conductive and light up, but quickly become darker. To avoid ESD damage, LED strips must be stored in an ESD-protected environment and processed and mounted with appropriate protection. For our professional LED strip assembly we therefore only work in areas with special ESD protection.

In terms of environmental protection, we pack and ship the assembled components with recyclable materials and try to avoid plastic as far as possible. Even accessories are like mounting clips and end caps packed in paper bags.

Our LED Star Strips IP67 are encapsulated with high-quality full silicone encapsulation to protect against the ingress of dust and water. The extra-strong 3M adhesive tape on the back of the strip ensures optimum hold for your application.
