Guarantee for LED Lamps and Strips

Radium LED products are well-known for their first-class engineering, state-of-the-art thermal management, high-quality components, and systematic quality assurance.
For original Radium LED lamps and LED strips operated according to Radium product and application specifications e.g. data sheets, application notes, compatibility lists, Radium is in the position to offer the guarantees shown below.
The guarantee period has begun with the date of purchase.

Guarantee Claims

If LED lamp(s) or strip(s) sold by Radium fail completely within the guarantee period after the date of purchase due to a product defect, they can be reclaimed.
For this, contact Radium and provide the following documents, please:

a complaint letter with reason for the complaint (description, photos) and the contact details of the guarantee holder (first and last name, valid and complete postal address)
the product details (name, article number, EAN) and quantity
a copy of the receipt (proof of purchase).

Further registration is not required.

Upon request, the defective bulbs or strips must be packed completely and shatter-proof including the details of the complaint procedure (for example the date of the complaint) and sent with sufficient franking for error analysis to the following address:

Radium reserves the right to decide whether the guarantee claim is justified or not after reviewing the complaint / defective product.

The guarantee is valid only within Europe. Agreements beyond that are to be made individually.

Upon acceptance of the guarantee claim, the buyer will receive free, equivalent replacement, but never repair, refund of the purchase price or other expenses in connection with the defective products (assembly costs, transport / infrastructure costs, etc.).
'Equivalent replacement' in this case means another similar and equivalent product whose properties, specifications and design may differ from the guarantee product.
The dispatch of the replacement product takes place after proper assertion of the guarantee claim.
This will not extend the original guarantee period.

Defective products will become the property of Radium GmbH with your submission and will be disposed of properly after completion.

Statutory warranty claims and claims in accordance with the Product Liability Act (in Germany: ProdHaftG) remain unaffected by this guarantee and apply independently of and in parallel with it.

Replacements deriving from this guarantee are limited to a maximum of € 50,000 per installation.

Exclusions from this Guarantee

Guarantee claims are excluded in particular

for minor, insignificant damage or defects in the guarantee product (for example, failure of individual LEDs in multiple LED chips or arrays),
when the manufacturer's stated normal life span of the guarantee product is reached within the guarantee period and / or product-related ordinary decrease in the luminous flux of the guarantee product,
for product-related ordinary light colour changes of the guarantee product,
in the case of natural wear or natural wear of the guarantee product,
in the case of inadequate or improper use of the guarantee product,
when the guarantee product has been operated in an inadmissible or unsuitable operating environment (e.g., excessive humidity, heat, cold or dust, or in corrosive environments),
in the event of damage or faults due to poor quality of the mains supply (eg voltage peaks or over/ under voltage),
if the guarantee product has been modified, repaired or used in conjunction with products or software of the guarantee holder or a third party by the guarantee holder or a third party without prior written consent of Radium,
in the event of damage or errors caused by the guarantee holder or a third party, or
in the case of unforeseeable events of major force beyond the control of Radium and not attributable to Radium (for example natural disasters).

Changes of Guarantee Conditions

Radium reserves the right, to change or supplement these guarantee conditions at its own discretion at any time with effect for the future. In this case, effective guarantee claims based on the present version of the guarantee conditions remain unaffected and may continue to be asserted by the guarantee in accordance with the terms of the guarantee version within the applicable guarantee period.
