The end of T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes is coming:
Fluorescent lamp ban takes effect August 25, 2023.
The last hour of fluorescent lamps for general lighting has struck. The reason for this is that the RoHS Directive controls and restricts potentially hazardous ingredients in electronic devices – including mercury, which is contained in fluorescent lamps.
The technology, which has proven itself over decades, will now be banned from the European market – so retailers and end users should stock up one last time. Remaining stocks can still be sold, only there will be no more replenishment then. Please contact us if you would like to replenish your stock with fluorescent tubes. Please note that an early order is advantageous in order to be able to deliver the lamps in the quantity you want.
If you already prefer to buy a modern replacement for your fluorescent tubes, you can upgrade to LED instead. LED lamps now offer more and more advantages in comparison with fluorescent tubes:
