Since its foundation in 1904, Radium has been the specialist lighting brand and is now Germany's oldest active lamp manufacturer. The Radium brand enjoys a first-class reputation in the lighting industry and is known in the circles of professional customers for outstanding quality and excellent customer service.
Radium has been responding to people's lighting needs ever since it was founded – and has always had its finger on the technological pulse ever since. At the very beginning with carbon filament lamps, later with tungsten wire incandescent lamps, and today finally with complete LED lighting concepts and the corresponding high-quality and energy-saving light sources. It has always been our task to recognize and proactively address change and transformation. Because this is the only way we can open up new possibilities, produce professional and innovative products and offer our customers a personal service.
Success through quality for 120 years
Putting the idea of quality into practice has been the driving force behind our success for around 120 years. Radium Lampenwerk GmbH has established itself as an expert when it comes to translating customer needs into fitting product requirements. Our knowledge of all laws and regulations relevant to the lighting industry enables us to develop or manufacture high-quality products that meet the highest safety, environmental and quality standards. And this way we meet the demands of professional users with innovative solutions based on sound expertise in the field of lighting technology and in close cooperation with the specialized trade.
The area of our own production is particularly focused on quality: starting with the preliminary products, further on with the know-how in the development of production methods and process flows, and finally in the machine design, Radium has full control. This results in products of high guaranteed quality, from individual production of small quantities to large-scale production.
We also take responsibility in the lighting industry by participating in AK Licht and ZVEI. ISO certificates confirm the success of our quality and environmental measures.
Environmental protection as a cornerstone for a sustainable future
Active environmental protection is a building block for securing the future of our society and important for future generations – in the private as well as in the business sector. Radium has long assumed responsibility for protecting the environment and using natural resources sparingly. This corporate philosophy was laid down in the environmental protection guidelines as early as 1991.
