The Climate Alliance's nationwide "Stadtradeln" campaign for more climate protection and cycling has been running since 2008. The aim of this campaign is to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bicycle within 21 days in order to contributie to climate protection. In addition, prizes from national partners and supporters will be awarded to the most bike-active local council, the most bike-active municipality with the most bike kilometers and the best newcomer municipality.
Wipperfürth participated in the campaign from May 29 to June 18, 2023 with 29 teams, including the newly formed Radium team "Radium – cycling with light". Ten active members of the team cycled a total of 3,524 km – which corresponds to a CO2 avoidance of 571 kg. Congratulations on the great result!
