We have done the installation test.
The super-flat Radium Flat Drivers are now available in seven power versions from 12W to 250W. They are ideally suited for use in low cavities, such as recessed ceilings, drywall, furniture lighting or mirror installation.
Simple cut-out holes in plasterboard walls, which can be inconspicuously closed with a dummy cover, allow for a wonderful stowe-away.
But how much space is actually needed for the installation? We have tested this for you in a special experiment.
The test set-up:
For our test, we used two common 12.5 mm thick sheetrock panels that simulate a typical ceiling installation situation. A hole with a standard diameter of 68 mm was drilled into one of the panels, through which the drivers are pushed into the "suspended ceiling".
Our goal was to find out up to what height our Flat Drivers can be inserted through the hole into the cavity.
And here are the results of our experiment:
