Old energy label banned from 01.09.2021?
Information on transition period and co.

From September, light sources will be switched over to the new energy label according to Directive 2019/2015. In contrast to the conversion of household appliances, which had to take place within two weeks in March, there is considerably more time for the conversion of light sources. For example, for the time being there will still be many radium products with the 'old' label and only a few with the 'new' one.
Important to know:
Until 31.08.2021, new light sources may still be placed on the market with the 'old' energy label and may also be sold in the trade labelled as such after that date. Products are considered to be 'placed on the market' if they are in our distribution warehouse at that time. The old label must finally be discontinued as of 01.03.2023, definitely.
The changeover will therefore take place gradually - and not from one day to the next or with just a few days transition period.
The following applies to products placed on the market from 01.09.2021 onwards:
Light sources placed on the market after 01.09.2021 will require a new energy label. Radium light sources will have new article numbers and thus also new packaging with the appropriate label. The products may only be sold once registration in EPREL 2.0 (European Product Database for Products with Energy Label according to 2019/2015) has been completed. We as the manufacturer are responsible for the registration. An online data sheet can then be accessed there via the QR code on the label.
For products placed on the market before 01.09.2021:
For these products, the old energy label must be pasted over by 01.03.2023 at the latest, if they have not been sold by then. Radium will then be happy to provide suitable stickers on request.
Products with the 'old' label are already registered in the previous EPREL product database (according to 874/2012), which is still without the data sheet function, however. For our products you can download the Radium product data sheets at any time under www.radium.de/en/[article number] or www.radium.de/en/[EAN].
