From October 1st, 2020 Radium Lampenwerk GmbH is no longer a subsidiary of LEDVANCE GmbH / MLS. Radium is now set up independently and actively supported by the new owner ASC Lighting in forming a sustainable, successful, independent future. LEDVANCE will nevertheless remain an important cooperation partner of Radium and will be both customer and supplier.

With the purchase of Radium, ASC has acquired an absolutely traditional company in the German lighting industry and thus set an important milestone in the company's long history. Now, for the first time since 1988 Radium is independent again and will lead the company and the brand into the future together with ASC.

Radium bleibt Radium – a Company with Tradition.

Radium is the specialist retail brand: we don't just want it to stay that way, we also want to build it up further. The valuable brand Radium remains in the portfolio of Radium Lampenwerk GmbH, of course, but the change in ownership gives us the flexibility we need to achieve the strategic goals we have set.

ASC will continue and strengthen the existing business areas together with the Radium Management Team: Production, sales of lamps and professional lighting solutions gain new momentum e.g. by expanding the LED portfolio. So, Radium is already recording LED growth of around 53% compared to the previous year - despite the negative effects of Covid-19. For the growing business areas in the areas of technical light, LED components and LED luminaires, Radium will increasingly focus on local value creation and development - Made in Germany. Further, more and additional means shall be invested in the digitization of the company, the products and the processes.
